John Edward Kaukali Dill, 38, of Hilo died May 29 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Orlando, Fla., he was a construction manager for Rider Levett Bucknall, worked for the state Department of Land &Natural Resources-Department of Aquatic Research, former state Contractors License Board member, former county Board of Ethics chairman, member of Heritage Christian Fellowship, Hawaii Island Contractors Association and county Environmental Management Board. Takeyoshi “Shine” Fujimoto, 85, of Ninole died June 19 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Ninole, he was a retired machine operator for the former Hilo Coast Processing Co. and member of Honohina Hongwanji Buddhist Temple and Senior Citizens Bowling League.
